Picking only 10 tracks and compiling a chart of what’s best is not that easy when there’s so much crappy shit music released everyday. Anyone searching for music on Beatport or similar sites know what we’re talking about. Some would say it’s like ‘looking for a needle in a haystack’ – we say it’s more like ‘looking for diamonds in a pile of shit the size of the moon from a diarrhetic elephant’.
Nevertheless, one of the best feelings you can have as a DJ (apart from standing in front of an ecstatic audience dropping your gems) is when you find these tracks. Here’s our January 2011 selection of tracks that we really think you should put into your next mixtape.
